Your Pickleball Vacation at Sandals Jamaica South Coast
This will be the revitalized Sandals Jamaica South Coast, which has been devastated by hurricane Melissa. But reports are that the resort will open by the end of the year 2026, and it will be even better than before. It will have 12 dedicated pickleball courts as it did before, but everything will be finally finished as new. I can tell you that that beach of white sand is something to behold. Believe it or not, I was there in 2022 when they had only 8 pickleball courts as lines over tennis courts--what a long way they have come! Here is that Facebook video. Now they have 12 beautiful high-quality dedicated pickleball courts. As always, when booking Sandals Resorts, Pickleball Travel will get you the lowest price possible whether you're with your group or with your partner. I would love to be your travel partner in planning this amazing resort! But if you would rather book on your own, here is the referral link which is also the lowest price for Sandals Jamaica South Coast.
What to Pack: Remember to bring your pickleball paddle, comfortable shoes and light clothing for the climate. Don't forget essentials like sunscreen and a water bottle to stay hydrated while enjoying the sunshine. I can tell you that I felt quite foolish paying $40 for a bottle of sunscreen at the resort, and since then I've always carried several of the mini sunscreens.
Playing pickleball in Whitehouse Jamaica offers more than a game; it's a chance to immerse yourself in the culture, make new friends and admire stunning views.
Tucked away in the southwest corner of Jamaica lies an amazing stretch of beach, with lots of room to stretch out and enjoy a beach chair and cold drink. I found the pickleball competition fierce here, with many courts available at this Sandals location. Such a nice spot for the included watersports, and the pool as shown in my photo is epic. I rented a car and drove from Negril to Whitehouse, and that will be the last time I rent a car in Jamaica. Though I have rented cars all over the world, I found driving there to be the most challenging. I will return soon, and when I do, I will leave the driving to the Jamaicans.
